Home Office

The Home Office is the government department accountable for internal affairs in England and Wales and seeks to promote a safe, just and tolerant society through its policies to reduce crime, deliver justice and regulate entry to the United Kingdom. With a wide range of responsibilities, it is one of the largest and most complex UK government departments extending across dozens of associated agencies, executive and advisory bodies including the National Offender Management Service (NOMS), the Immigration & Nationality Directorate (IND), the Criminal Records Bureau and many more.

"The new site has made the [tender] process easier and more secure for all participants. It covers the whole procurement process from start to finish, and it is all encapsulated in a single piece of technology. eTendering is fully embedded in NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency policy and is now used for all its procurement exercises. It makes the Agency a leader in the adoption of eProcurement systems in the public sector."
