Stoke-on-Trent City Council

The city council provides services to a population of around 240, 000 people within Stoke-on-Trent. The core responsibilities include creating jobs, attracting visitors and delivering quality housing, leisure and retail facilities. The five strategic priorities are creating a vibrant city with thriving communities; building a safer and stronger city; delivering better outcomes for children and young people; promoting health and independence; and improving service delivery and value for money. Achieving these responsibilities allows the council to fulfill its overall vision of "Making Stoke-on-Trent a better place for all to live, learn, work and enjoy". Stoke-on-Trent City council has always strived for excellence in everything they do. Some of the councils services are beacons of best practice and excellent customer service. The aim is to learn from the best practice, share that good practice and success and make sure all services delivered are to the highest standards.
